ROUTER
Router is a workflow routing application that tracks steps in a work in
process through your mobile operations. It incorporates simple on-the-fly
rules for mobile decision taking - such as manufacturing production, repair,
or maintenance. Router tracks work in process using flexible links and
decision trees (send back to station 1, rework, use as is, etc) to circulate
your products through the manufacturing process as needed. It can incorporate
cumulative decision processes incorporating the results of inspections,
rework signoffs, and other activities influencing the future path of your
product in the manufacturing process. Complicated procedures or processes,
such as manufacturing rework loops or off-line processes, are simple to
implement. Products always reach a valid destination, regardless of what
route they take.
The router’s core decision process is readily
extendable, very powerful, and yet very simple. Using state machine logic,
the router allows mobile workers, system managers and management closely
monitor in-process activities and workflow and enables them to make real
time, process based decisions to route work activities. Router can mandate
predefined process workflows or enable on-the-fly decision making, or
both.
